| | 12-05-15 - Legacy Ghost | Legacy discs first midrange driver will appear soon, Ghost is similar to a Roc according to golfers that have tried it out. Ghost will be available in four (4!) different plastics; Icon (Resembles Star/Gold-line), Protégé (Close to dx and Zero-line), Excel (A type of Pro plastic) and Gravity (More or less Protégé in a softer putter plastic). It was approved by the PDGA yesterday, some data: Outside diameter: 21.7 cm (max weight 180,1 grams) Inside rim diameter: 19.3 cm Height: 2.0 cm Rim depth: 1.3 cm Rim thickness: 1.2 cm Flexibility rating: 5.44 kg Rim configuration rating: 42.75 mm
Legacy are working on another midrange driver, it will be released during summer.
More info about Legacy Discs here. | |  |  | | 12-05-14 - Innova Krait | Innova has a new driver hidden away; Krait, it will be released as a fundraiser for US Masters in Champion plastic very soon; it will also appear in the regular line-up during the summer. It will fit in nicely in between Wraith and Archon according to Innova. The flight rating is set to; Speed = 11, Glide = 5, HSS -1 and LSS 2. Krait was approved by the PDGA last week. More info about Innova here. | |  |  | | 12-04-27 - Lucky approved | For about a month ago we wrote about Crosslap Lucky , it is an under stable midrange driver, the flight rating is fixed to Speed = 5, Glide = 5, HSS = -2 and LSS = 1 Lucky was approved earlier this week by the PDGA, figures: Outside diameter: 21.7 cm (Max weight: 180.1 g) Inside rim diameter: 19.1 cm Height: 1.7 cm Rim depth: 1.3 cm Rim thickness: 1.3 cm Rim configuration rating: 43.50 Flexibility rating: 5.33 kg
Lucky are released in three plastics; Maximum (Equivalent to Champion and Opto), Platinum (Star and Gold) and a beginner friendly made of putter plastic and in weights limited to 140gram.
There is an also a long range driver on the way, Incubus, it will be released later this year.

It was approved by the PDGA last weekend. The flight rating is set to; speed 14 (1-15), glide 9 (1-10), turn 2 (0-5) and fade 1 (0-5), note that the figures are not comparable to Innova´s flight rating. Samurai is just available as a fundraiser for now, but it will be released in Sure Grip and Evolution plastic in the regular line-up soon. Read more about products from Gateway here. | |  |  | | 12-04-24 - Scorpius & Aeris | Soon it is time for two new over stable drivers Aeris Scorpius , both manufactured by Innova as usual. Aeris is a "Speed 11" driver in the same family as Wraith and TeeRex. Scorpius is a bit faster, 12, siblings with Destroyer and X-Caliber.
Scorpius will appear in stores in late May, Aeris is released later this summer. Both models will be available in both Quantum and Sirius plastic. They will be available in weights ranging from 130 to 175grams, we suspect that Innova/Millennium have to use the Blizzard technology to come down in those low weights.

It will be officially released tomorrow in Opto plastic. The flight rating is preliminary set to Speed 12, Glide 4, HSS 0 and LSS 3. Giant is an over stable flyer according to the company; flight rating are set to Speed=13, Glide=5, HSS=1 and LSS=4. It will be released in VIP, Tournament and the new basic plastic BT on the 1st of April. It will be available in weights from 161 grams and up. Next projects for Westside is the Underworld, a very under stable slow driver and Westside Stag, a slow speed (Speed=9) over stable control driver that uses same upper mold as Giant.

The Karma is a slightly over-stable mid-range and falls in between our Warrior and Scout in terms of stability according to David McGormack at Gateway Mystic is a slightly under stable mid-range which falls between the Scout and the Element. Mystic and Karma are so far only available as fundraisers. Samurai is a new driver soon to approved, it is a less stable version of Slayer. It has a wide rim, 2,3cm, is about 21 cm in diameter and has a low profile.

Innova ensures that Super Stingray is not just a standard Stingray in Champion instead of dx plastic. It is based on the Ontario-mold and has a blunter nose, giving it a more stable flight compared to the original Stingray, flight rating is set to Speed = 4, Glide = 5, HSS -1 and LSS 1 (Compare with the original 4, 5, -3 and 1). It was released last Monday in weights between 170 and 180 grams.
King Cobra is based on the Ontario-mold of the Cobra, a flatter top gives it more stability, Speed = 4, Glide = 5, HSS 0 and LSS 2 (Compare with the original 4, 5, -2 and 2). It was also released last Monday in weights between 165 and 180 grams.
The "corkscrew"-driver Mamba was released last Monday in the standard Champion line-up, flight rating is set; Speed = 11 Glide = 6, HSS -5 and LSS 1. Available in weights between 165 and 175gram, a limited number of discs are stamped with the 1st run Star stamp.
