The preliminary flight-rating looks like this; speed=11, glide=5, turn (HSS) between 0 and -1, finally the fade at around 2 (LSS). The disc are as always developed and designed with the support from Dave Dunipace at Innova and they are also manufactured by Innova. The DD will be released in S-plastic in weights between 170 and 175grams, it is sent for approval, the release date is not set yet.
The Discmania driver line-up looks pretty complete now, the DD together with the CD (Control Driver, 9, 5,-1 and 2) and PD (Power Driver, 10, 4, 0 and 4).
More info at the Discmania website soon. | | | | | 08-08-25 - 13 speed driver! | Yes, the new Boss has a speed 13 rating according to Innova, glide is set to 4, turn (HSS)=0 and fade (LSS) 4. It is a excellent forehand and headwind driver in the same vein as the X-Caliber says Dave Dunipace. It has the widest rim of all the Innova discs and is not very comfortable for players with small hands. It was sent to for PDGA approval last week, but release date is uncertain, we will probably not see Champion Boss in the shops until the USDGC. Cause of the wide rim on the Boss they will only come in weights over 170 grams except maybe in the Dx.plastic.
More info about Innova here. | | | | | 08-08-19 - ESP Venom LE | Discraft have released the over stable driver Venom in Elite Special Plastic (ESP) in limited numbers during the Worlds last week. The flight stability is set to 2,2, a tad more stable than the Pro D version (2,0).
Among the stuff in the Worlds player package there was also an ESP-version of the approach/midrange driver the Zone , there is a big possibility that it also will appear in the regular line-up.
